NHSV MLK Weekend Soccer Mini Camp: Playing With Heart, Giving With Purpose

Our MLK Weekend Soccer Camp was filled with excitement from start to finish. Many kids loved the experience so much that they joined us on both days, eager to run, play, and learn more soccer together.

The training sessions were fast-paced, playful, and full of laughter. Our coaches kept kids constantly engaged with fun drills, small-group games, and plenty of encouragement, helping each child feel confident and included—no matter their skill level. The field was alive with smiling faces, high energy, and kids who truly enjoyed every minute on the grass.

Parents shared how happy they were with the training as well. They appreciated the positive coaching style, the safe and welcoming environment, and most of all, seeing their children come home tired, excited, and asking “When can we do this again?” Many parents stayed to watch, cheer, and enjoy the atmosphere alongside their kids.

Behind the scenes, our three young coaches—each with over 8 years of soccer experience—brought not only strong skills but also a genuine love for working with children. They understand how to make soccer fun first, which is exactly why the kids connected with them so quickly.

This camp also reflects what Nourishing Hope Silicon Valley is about: young people giving back through what they love. Through community soccer programs like this, we’re able to raise funds to support our mission of nourishing even younger lives by donating baby formula, purées, cereals, and other essential nutrition to families in need.

We are incredibly thankful for the trust and support from our families and the wider community. Seeing kids happy, parents satisfied, and everyone having fun together is what makes these programs so meaningful.
